T@lecom Limited's reseller, CMS, secured the contract to supply Concord Couriers of Welwyn Garden City, an extensive supplier of courier services, with it's Wireless Delivered™ technologies, giving them the capacity for proof of delivery and electronic signature capture.
The implementation provided each one of the 45 field drivers with the capability to send and receive live POD and signature information via the T@lecom Wireless Delivered™ solution on XDA devices connected to the O2 GPRS data network.

Each driver has been equipped with an XDA device from O2 that is both a data terminal and mobile phone. This provides a low cost solution for courier companies and unlike alternative systems it retains voice communication if required.
Despatch Association member Gary Daniel of Concord Couriers, decided to replace his Dolphin radios with the mobile proof of delivery system from T@lecom. The solution allows Gary to send all of his same day and next day deliveries directly to his drivers and collect real time proof of delivery including recipient signature. As soon as the driver collects the POD, it is available via Concord's website to be viewed by customers.
Gary has been using Wireless Delivered™ for six months now and has achieved considerable cost savings as well as increasing control room efficiency and customer service levels.

Concord Couriers are looking forward to the second release of Wireless Delivered™ that will include satellite navigation for drivers and vehicle location visibility in the control office. This will be a simple solution comprising of a GPS antenna with one-minute updates on vehicle location.
